Judge Bios:

Joe Haidar
Animated American is Joe Haidar's debut as an independent film director. Joe was an animator at Walt Disney Studios for fifteen years and while there pitched the idea for Disney's Hercules. Joe has animated some of Disney's most beloved characters, including the Genie in Aladdin and Roger Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which gave him the opportunity to work with academy award winners Richard Williams and Robert Zemekis. He worked on the highly acclaimed film Beauty and the Beast (the only animated feature ever to be nominated for Best Picture), as well as Rescuers Down Under, Pocahontas, Mulan, Atlantis, and Home on the Range. Joe continues to work in animation and live action; he has storyboarded on such films as Curios George, Enchanted and Alvin and the Chipmunks. Prior to Disney, he worked in London, England on feature films, rock videos and commercials. Joe is a graduate of Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada.

Aaron Pfau
Mr. Pfau began his career in 1995 as a digital artist for Apollo 13, eventually moving on to work as lead digital artist on Titanic, Small Soldiers, and Star Wars: Episode I. He worked as a lead creature developer on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, was a character technical director for Shark Tale, King Kong, and Over the Hedge. He most recently worked as the Senior Technical Animator on Beowulf.
